AIAS Third Annual Trivia Night!

The members of the University of Oregon chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS) invite design professionals to join them for their main fundraiser of the year. Trivia Night serves as an opportunity for students, faculty, and professionals to form teams and compete in a Jeopardy! style trivia game.

Unlike Jeopardy! the game will be contested by teams rather than individuals; the rules are otherwise pretty much the same as the popular television game show. Every team will consist of at least one professional, one faculty member, and several students.

Participation by local design professionals is a key to the success of the annual event. The intent is to create a fun and informal setting bringing town and gown together. I missed last year’s edition but had a great time at the inaugural Architecture Trivia Night in 2010. If you’re interested, all you have to do is show up and the AIAS organizers will assign you to a team of faculty and students.

There will be food and prizes thanks to the sponsorship of Ninkasi, Izakaya Meiji, Pizza Research Institute, Sweet Life, and many others. It’s all for a good cause too: sponsors not only help to defray the costs of the evening (including the cost of catering services and prizes) but also provide monetary support for UO student attendance at future AIAS conferences and events.
